Regenerating Stranraer
Stranraer Development Trust has purchased two key properties, funded through the Scottish Government and the Borderlands Inclusive Growth Deal, as part of the regeneration of Stranraer.
Stranraer Development Trust has purchased two properties as part of its ongoing work to deliver the ambitions of the Stranraer Place Plan.
Lundy House on Dicks Hill and Brush Strokes on George Street will be regenerated to create new spaces for community benefit, alongside affordable high street living.
The acquisitions represent an important step in bringing vacant and underused properties back into productive use, supporting the revitalisation of Stranraer town centre and creating opportunities for local people.
The projects will contribute to the wider regeneration of Stranraer by providing community-focused spaces, affordable accommodation and renewed activity within the town centre.
“Stranraer Development Trust will work with the community and partners as plans progress, ensuring that the properties contribute positively to the future of the town and the ambitions set out in the Stranraer Place Plan” Christina Johnston – Facilities Manager / Project Coordinator.
