Big thanks to the children of Belmont Primary who aided by school caretaker Dougie Hannah are looking after our plants until they are big enough to be planted out. Romano Petrucci and Carol Maxwell from our Board visited the school last week to thank the youngsters and see the all work they’ve done. They were so impressed by the children’s enthusiasm. Thank you Iona, Calvin, Elle, Macaulie and Morgan. The youngsters have even offered to help us plant them this February – Okay, the offer of free ice cream, chips and cold drinks from Central Café may have helped a little!
The children have also been involved with creating a beautiful garden in the school grounds for Oscar Robertson, their school mate who sadly was lost to us all a few months ago.
