Project Officer – Stranraer Development Trust
Stranraer Development Trust is looking for a project officer to develop and manage the first Stranraer Oyster Festival which will take place in September 2017. The Stranraer Oyster Festival aims to position Stranraer as an attractive place to visit to enjoy warm hospitality and unique Scottish seafood, including oysters from Scotland’s only wild, native oyster fishery. We are looking for someone who can help the board of trustees make this happen.
This exciting post is initially for 21 hours per week for a fixed term of twelve months at a starting rate of £12 per hour (to be reviewed after probationary period). We do expect the hours to be increased and term to be extended but this will be subject to available funding. Holidays are 20 days (pro rata) and public holidays. Pension scheme available.
Aside from specific skills and experience (see job description) We are looking for someone who has a passion for Stranraer and surrounding area, who is flexible, positive, willing to learn and committed.
